Pratibha Sharma, PhD

Dr. Pratibha Sharma is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the School of Basic and Applied Sciences, K.R. Mangalam University, Gurugram, India. Her areas of interest include synthesis of nanomaterials, transition metal oxides, nanocomposites, and studying their properties and seeking their various applications for environmental remediation. As part of her ongoing research, she has worked on projects involving the photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants using nanocomposites, synthesis of graphene oxide-based materials, and development of ferrite systems with enhanced photocatalytic performance.

Dr. Sharma has been recognized with several awards, including the Best Paper Award at ICRTMD 2025, First Position for Oral Presentation at ICPAS 2025, and Best Poster Award at ICISET 2019. Additionally, she received a Gold Medal for securing the first rank in her M.Sc. batch.

She has contributed significantly to scientific literature with several publications. Some of her notable first-author publications include:

1. A systematic study on synthesis and characterization of a novel tri-component ferrite system with cost-effective n- and p-doping and their photocatalytic performance (Materials Science and Engineering: B, 2024).

2. Structural, morphology, and thermal properties of nano bentonite and α-Fe2O3/bentonite nanocomposite (Zeitschrift für Physikalische Chemie, 2023).

3. Capping agent-induced variation of physicochemical and biological properties of α-Fe2O3 nanoparticles (Material Chemistry and Physics, 2021).
