Khalid Anwer, PhD

Sr. Asst. Professor, C. M. Science College

Dr. K. Anwer is currently working as Sr. Asst. Professor in the Department of Botany, C. M. Science College, Darbhanga, Bihar, India. He is prosecuting this position since September 2019.

Before that, he was engaged as Asst. Professor with the Department of Biotechnology, Jaipur National University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, India.

He has pursued his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from this university (Jamia Millia Islamia) in Biosciences, and his Ph. D. (Biosciences) from this prestigious lab. (Hassan’s Lab.) of CIRBSc. in 2014 (Enrolled in 2010), as the first doctorate scholar under the supervision of Dr. Imtaiyaz Hassan and Dr. Asimul Islam (Co-supervisor).

He is currently engrossed (along with his two Ph. D. scholars, at present) to Biosystematics and Eco-biochemical studies, with areas of interest including Biochemistry, computational biology, structural biology, drug analysis etc.

Dr. K. Anwer has been awarded with SLET/JET (Lifesciences), GATE (Biotechnology), CSIR-NET (AIR 20) and MANF (JRF and SRF fellowship) in support of their academic and research pursuits. He has contributed to scientific literature with several publications viz.:

  1. Role of N-terminal residues on folding and stability of C-phycoerythrin: simulation and urea-induced denaturation studies.

  2. Folding and stability studies on C-PE and its natural N-terminal truncant.

  3. Probing pH sensitivity of C-phycoerythrin and its natural truncant: A comparative study.
