Wahiduzzaman, PhD

Research Scientist, Tennessee, USA.

Dr. Wahiduzzaman is currently working as a Research Scientist in the Department of Structural Biology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital Memphis Tennessee, USA. Dr. Wahiduzzaman is pursuing research by using biophysical and biochemical methods to examine the role of biomolecular condensates in cancers associated with the expression of fusion oncoproteins. Specifically, Dr. Wahiduzzaman is involved in characterizing the phase separation and aggregation behavior of intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) derived from fusion oncoproteins observed in human cancers. Dr. Wahiduzzaman also conducts phase separation assays with the purified IDRs in vitro via spectrophotometry and confocal fluorescence microscopy measurements. Dr. Wahiduzzaman work is accordingly funded in part by NCI’s Fusion Oncoproteins in Childhood Cancers Consortium, a component of the Cancer Moonshot Initiative.
