Arunabh Choudhury
PhD Scholar
Arunabh Choudhury is a PhD candidate at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences (CIRBSc), Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. He is pursuing a PhD in computational biology, with research focused on the discovery of novel therapeutic compounds for neuroinflammatory diseases using computer-aided drug design and experimental validation.
His areas of interest include structure-based drug design, computational chemistry, and biomolecular simulations. As part of his doctoral research, he is working on a project titled "Design and Development of Tau-Protein Kinase Inhibitors for Therapeutic Targeting of Neuroinflammatory Diseases".
He holds a master’s degree in bioinformatics and a bachelor’s degree in Botany. Arunabh's research contributions include work in molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation, mutation analysis, and transcriptomics. His technical expertise includes cheminformatics, analysis of protein-ligand interactions, and the creation of reproducible computational workflows for advancing drug discovery research. In 2023, he represented the lab in the EMBO Practical Course on Computational Molecular Evolution (CoME) at Heraklion, Greece.
