Adan Zaidi

PhD Scholar

Adan Zaidi is currently a Ph.D. scholar and a CSIR-UGC Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at the Multidisciplinary Centre for Advanced Research and Studies (MCARS), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi. She is working in collaboration with Prof. Md. Imtaiyaz Hassan at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences (CIRBSc), Jamia Millia Islamia.

Her research interests include structural biology, computational drug discovery, molecular biology, and biophysical techniques. Her research primarily focuses on designing novel inhibitors targeting AGC kinase members of Entamoeba histolytica for the treatment of amoebiasis.

As part of her ongoing research, she is working on a project titled "Developing Kinase Inhibitors as Potential Drug Candidates against Amoebiasis," which aims to develop effective small-molecule inhibitors that inhibit the activity of Entamoeba histolytica AGC (EhAGC) kinases, thereby offering potential strategies for innovative therapies against amoebiasis.

Adan Zaidi has qualified the CSIR-UGC NET and GATE-XL examinations, further demonstrating her academic excellence and commitment to scientific research.
