Anam Ashraf

DHR Young Scientist

Dr. Anam Ashraf is currently working as a DHR Young Scientist at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Basic Sciences (CIRBSc), Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi, India. She is currently pursuing a Post-doc in Structural based drug discovery, with research primarily focused on microbial antibiotic resistance. Her areas of interest include X-ray crystallography, computational drug discovery, molecular biology and microbiology. As part of their ongoing research, she is working on a project titled " Structure-Assisted Design of Therapeutics Against Thymidine kinase of Staphylococcus aureus", which aims to elucidate the crystal structure of Thymidine kinase of Staphylococcus aureus and design novel small-molecule inhibitors against it. Dr. Anam has been awarded DBT-BET-JRF fellowship during her Ph.D. They have contributed to scientific literature with several publications.
